Just curious and not trying to bust your bubble or anything, but why, with the other good choices out there would anyone choose to come to this company? You can read, and you have certainly talked to people who are here now. How does ANYTHING you read or hear make you want to work here? I've been here 25 years and nothing EVER gets better, it only gets worse. The management of this company is as bad or worse than ever, and no matter what these morons do, they do it badly. The "culture" if you call it that, it toxic. Maybe not as bad as US Airways, but not by much. When you come to work here, it feels like the life is being sucked out of you. The "system" does not work and everything is a battle - from the moment you check in until the moment you drive off the property at the end of your trip. CSRs and Flight Attendants mostly hate pilots and they make no effort to hide their hatred. Management hates pilots and again, they make no effort to hide their contempt. Retirees are treated like sh*t and "benefits" have to be wrestled from the company. If you call in sick, you are treated like a criminal, and too many sick calls gets you on "tracking" and again, treated like a criminal. Granted, where else you find a job that, once you get to a decent level (Captain), you can make a pretty comfortable six figure income, but that comes at a cost.
Wouldn't Southwest, Alaska, or Delta be a better option?
Again, just curious. Why would anyone purposely throw themselves into this cesspool? Frankly, I can't wait to get out.
Educate me.
