Before you do this, check with your new employer on disability coverage--we had a guy at Delta leave our insurance and lose his medical while on MLOA...he tried to come back, use his sick lv and go on disability-nope.

I personally pay for TRS and the cheapest company healthcare, along with company life, vision, dental and disability.
