Don't forget about giving up 33% of your profit sharing for that 3% raise.

I too was told that we'd never see the 3% raises... we were freeing them up to make big moves and we'd be right back in negotiations and get even more.
Do the math on how much lower your profit sharing check is, too. Yikes!
