Yes, this! That is the point of the article. No one is asking you (ckelley) to walk the unemployment line. This is a paradigm shift-major airlines taking full responsibility for their operation, including you.
I don't understand why some people are so deathly afraid of taking a pay cut for a year while on probation at a major. That money will be made up for in spades shortly.
And yes, very well written Junglebus! The word needs to get out to put pressure on management, and frankly the flying public and aspiring pilots needs to have an idea of how the industry *actually* works.
