actually the recs are read and are weighted accordingly. I don't think the FA or XJT rec holds any water, but I wouldn't remove them. The rec in the system is one thing, but someone who knows you well and walking into the CPO to sit down and validate your credibility is another. If you don't have that, you may as well remove your resume. CAL is all about internal recs....pilots hire pilots. So far it is a good system and has worked for me more than once. If the LOR is a 3 sentence paragraph than I would delete it and ask for another one.
