Unions only care about keeping the Union going and collecting dues. They sit in so called negotiations knowing they have little to no power. Then pass crap contracts down saying they did their best blah blah blah. Then, pretend to go through the motions expecting that pilots (who typically are of above average intelligence) won't figure out their game. To top it all off they steal what little money we make out of our paychecks. Why not have a "performance based" Union Due!?
Looks like US Air, Southwest, Jet Blue, and hopefully Delta have figured it out and now have or will have Pilot led groups. Only line pilots know what's best for their specific pilot group.
Sounds like the next big vote should be for Pilot group leaders and structure. Followed closely by a +80% vote of NO CONFIDENCE for ALPA.
But, what do I know. I'm just a lowly regional pilot who qualifies for food stamps....I'm sorry a SNAP card. (Because food stamps was just too harsh a word according to the PC police)
