Making Contacts
It's always a good policy to make contacts and network with people in the aviation industry especially in company you want to work for. However, sometimes it is easier said than done.
People often say to keep in touch with ex-flight instructors who move on. Well, mine work for Mesa and Kenmore (SEA Caravan), not my first choices. I have other contacts but mainly in the Majors or for companies that are further down on my list.
I fly a King Air that goes mostly to small airports (and usually the same ones) away from the higher traffic areas which makes meeting other regional pilots .. difficult.
I'm sure others are in the same boat, or at least have been. Any suggestions to get your App/resume walked in and put on top of that desk we all want it on?
