(as if there was ever any logic in the first place) in this industry.
For what it's worth, I turned down the class date.
This is driven by HR, so you can thank you local lawyers for this. I think if you check every airline now uses a similar process. 10 or 15 years ago it might have been different, but avoiding age discrimination lawsuits is driving this.
