The SD memo was DOA. They aren't even close to getting full compliance with a 2 hour leash while on LC. That's why they are trying to give at least 16 hours notice so that they at least have a somewhat reasonable case to make. Inventing a 2 hour leash actually hurts their cause when this goes to grievance. Attempting to enforce it makes it a slam dunk win for the pilots. At the very least nothing earlier than noon on day one is a huge QOL improvement. Absolutely massive. And that's what we have as a baseline now to begin reserve QOL negotiations from. That better be involitile and better not be traded for anything else. Going back to mandatory day off schedule checks so we can get 5AM shows is a thing of the past and I don't think our negotiators are dumb enough to give that back.
The other open issue is LC RSV callback times. The fantasy memo says 2 hours, but that was DOA before the ink dried. As of now its basically 19 hours, and even that doesn't resolve the notification issue. So unless we really drop the ball, it looks like LC in the future will be significantly greater than 12 hours as well, with nothing earler on day one than noon.
