First I consider myself extremely fortunate to have THIS kind of decision to make. Here is the problem, do I take one of the other job offers and leave when UPS calls with a class date or keep waiting for the phone to ring?

I know how long some people have been in the pool at UPS, a2b boxhauler and others. Not sure why this happens, but it does. I have been in the pool a short swim in comparison to others, around three months. I haven’t figured out how they determine who starts when, but several people already started class or have class dates that interviewed after I got the letter. I also seem to have what UPS is looking for "Heavy, International time".

I know lots of people here have been placed in hiring pools before. Just wondering how you would deal with this. I appreciate any advice or funny comments.

BTW if you are wondering why don’t I just keep my current job? just separated from AD.

Go to SWA and when UPS calls decide if you want to stay or go to Brown...that was my plan last year(except I got the no go letter from SWA). You probably won't be in the brown pool too terribly long but there have been exceptions in the past. Do you have a 737 type? SWA pay is not too bad to start. I'd hate to go to CAL for 6 months and then endure UPS year one pay for another year on top of it!
