I know that when I was a new hire I had the choice of the -88 or the 7ER. I took the -88 for the base available. When they brought in the manuals, I knew I had made the right choice. My box had about a 12 pack of beer sized manual stack, but the 7ER guys had a box the size of a keg full of manuals.
And that is why the -88 is better than the 7ER.....

I'm not sure other than the reasons I stated. It wasn't said they wouldn't place new hires into the ER, just that they prefer not too. I guess the answer will be known in less than 30 days.
It sounded like they may put the ER slots out again in the AE coming in the next several weeks. Patience will show us the answer.
