I don't understand this argument either. What personal data do you have on your iPad that you are worried about your company seeing? They already have your name, address, phone number, social security number, birth date, and banking information (you do have direct deposit, right?) Unless you are doing something that you shouldn't be doing anyway, what information could be on your iPad that you would worry about your company seeing? If they would like to see pictures of my kids or how many Angry Birds levels I have finished, they can have at it. What use is that stuff to them?
I can understand some people who have no issue with their employer looking into their private lives. I for one believe in the seperation of work and my private life. If I want my CP/boss into my private life I'll do it on my terms. Not because they got a hold of my tablet because I used it for work and had a right to it.
