I'm all about getting a good deal, but this is one day (possibly two) where that shouldn't even enter the equation. If all the local hotels cost the same, which one would you stay at? That's the one you should stay at. Fifty or even 100 bucks extra is dust in the wind compared to what's at stake. If you get one minute more sleep, or walk 10 less steps in the rain/heat or any other advantage, it was worth it.
