My returning letterman statement was referring to former VT-31/35 IPs. In my 10+ years in TW-4 as an FTS, I can't remember a single engine SELRES breaking into the ME side. There was always a line of ME guys to fill the slots. It's a tough sell to have a guy come and learn ME to then teach ME part time when you've got pilots with years of ME IP experience beng considered on the sample board.
