If he does take if off, be sure and call him up and make your case (his name is Jim). I've had at least two occasions where I had to do this. The criteria he used to justify my reroute pay was whether or not Delta could have gotten me home some other way (i.e. deadhead) without rerouting me into another day. Anyway, FYI...
