The B scale was for years 2 through 5. It came in to existence in the 86 contract. Pay was 60 percent of the A scale. In the 91 contract the B scale was changed to years 2 and 3 only at 80 percent of the A scale. This sadly however was not retroactive to the amendable date. I don't know exactly when years 2 and 3 went back to full pay however it was after the pay agreement on the 737-800. I voted against that agreement because it still contained the b scale on years 2 and 3.
