To Kill Bill or CALpilot

Do any of you guys have any inside information regarding CAL hiring criteria. I put my applied back in April 05, when they first opened the window, have two LOR on the system and still haven't been called. Based on what I see on some of these threads they are big on XJT and other Regional guys or gals, and I am neither. Any information is appreciated
