According to Delta's 8K we have 743 mainline aircraft as of December 31. That's up from 717 mainline aircraft in 2012.
oh snap, i used the same 588 number twice! So this is awesome, it means we have do have now as many mainline aircraft that we had in 2001!!!!!!
We had 1016 then plus 36 AVROs, or 1052.
Now we have 1026 domestic (743 ML -12 DC9s + 295 JRJ) and if we can add the additional 30 CR9s/E175s and 77 more 717s... we have 1133 mainline jets!
MORE THAN 2001!!!!
I used to worry about the 88s going away, but now that they're getting the new cockpits they'll be here for a while too!
