Imagine a regional airline hiring the entire cadre of instructors from a flight school or all of the pilots from a 135, say, Ameriflight. They'd probably get a couple bad hires, but it'd work out just fine for the most part. The strategy they're using doesn't mean that only rejects from other airlines are applying. Pilots need this type of flight time to achieve their goals, and Mesa offers an opportunity to get it.
I don't entertain any illusions about the caliber of my job, and I don't think pilots who want to fly should be discouraged from applying after reading the junk people write about Mesa on APC. The real problem some pilots have is that they continue to cling to their airline fantasies after so much disappointment.
If Mesa is truly growing, then coming here could be a good decision.

Our United CRJ700 flying was just extended through 2019, with the 30 175's on the way.
Our UsAir CRJ900 flying was just extended through 2021, while adding 4 confirmed and soon to be 10 more 900's.
In JO's own words, "this is just the tip of the iceberg of more flying."
Hopefully Republic's TA, Expressjet and Eagle's NO votes will put a lot of pressure on Mesa for a new TA.
I really hope the Republic TA is good and Mesa can't staff classes, with new hires running to RAH.
So we shall see.
