that's the year that didn't count, so you don't have 13 yrs duty and thus don't have 4 weeks vacation yet this year. To which I ask: WHAT were you thinking delaying your return by a year??

I was doing the book thing, moved to LA, and was the COO for a large conservative nonprofit think tank. I deferred because I was making a lot of money to be a white collar guy. Hated it. My wife convinced me that I was happier, a better husband and father without the Hollywood gig. So, I came back. She was right. Much younger and much more mature.
