True but a failure is MUCH more than a bad day. You get 3 extra sessions in the 100-200 series & 3 in the 300-400 if my memory serves me correctly. Also I believe there are 2 extra chance through an initial qual. So ESV fail , retake , LOE fail retake, Finished. All this is from what I think I recall but I'll check. I actually have all the stipulations written down at home. Just so everyone knows that it takes some real goofin' up to fail 3 separate events.
All that said everyone should always study hard. Its not as easy as a veteran pilot in the seat makes it look.
