You can change domiciles as much as you like. The vacancy bid comes out mid-month and closes by the end of the month. It is effective for the first of the month two months ahead. For example, the bid effective April 1 is out right now and closes on 2/28.
Which is a little hidden gem with 2 free days off if your a commuter. I swapped bases twice in the 2 yrs I've been here and it dropped/pay protected a trip and netted me 4 more days off. I wouldn't abuse this, but it was definitely a nice surprise!
