If that's the case I pity those guys, they'll be at the bottom on reserve for a while as senior FOs upgrade. Street captains usually quit within 6 to 12 months too, not a good investment for the company.
True but if you have been at a company for 6 or 7 years with no upgrade in sight, sitting reserve as a Captain looks pretty good even if you are going to there for a while. Guys are upgrading right now that may end up moving down in relative seniority for a while once the FOs hired in 2012 and 2013 get the time to upgrade.
