Sky, I understand your point but where do you get off saying that those in the military tend to be sociopaths? Are there sociopaths in the military? I'm sure there are. But why would you say that? Especially if you are just trying to prove a point that being an airline pilot makes you selfish.
If you ask me, no matter your intentions, serving the military is a selfless act. As is giving your life for your friends, as I have seen a few of my brothers in arms do. I don't think selflessness falls into the definition of sociopath.
I have nothing against the military. It is a fine organisation but it seems to me that a high percentage of the gung ho fighter and bomber types fit the profile of a sociopath. Thier entire purpose is to kill others in the employ of our nation. A needed and appreciated act however it always seemed to me that those who excelled were void of a conscience.
