Bottom line he does not care about us and being wholly owned, he can shutter us at the snap of his fingers.
It would go like this on the golf course with his drinking buddy J.O. Hey Jerry, want 30+ next Gen 900's to fly for me? However, I will not pay you a penny more, the only thing you get are new planes and a contract extension, oh and I have 14 700's you can add to the mix, sound good? Great, lets get a drink! Phone call to Keith Houke, you are finsihed, I will begin to park your 200's and farm that flying to AWAC or Skywest. Take care now...
So was it a scare tactic, who knows, however, we really do not offer much to Doug except for being RED ink on his expense sheet. Now, as far as shuttering Eagle, you guys provide an exceptional amount of lift, however, Doug is a numbers guy, has been and always will be. So only time will tell if he goes through with his threats. All I know is the regional industry is a mess and the only winners are management.
J.O. and "Jerry" are 2 different CEO's...
