Are you really considering NetJet's over JetBlue???

JetBlue:
You will probably be hired on the EMB-190. Two year aircraft lock. Upgrade times are low, but they have been slowing growth. Lets use some more realistic numbers for upgrade (2 year EMB-190, 4 year A320). 70 hour guarentee.
1st year FO: $47 --> $39,500
2nd year FO: $50 --> $42,000
Upgrade to EMB-190 capt
3rd year capt: $84 --> $70,500
4th year capt: $86 --> $72,250
Upgrade to A320 capt
5th year capt: $121 --> $101,500
6th year capt: $127 --> $106,500

Max capt: $123,500

NetJets
Lets assume 3 year upgrade. At JetBlue, you will be on reserve no matter what. At NetJet's, it seems like you can choose between reserve (more money) or normal (a fixed schedule). So I am going to pick the salary in between (1/2 way) the two numbers. Again, like with the JetBlue case, this is MINIMUM salary.
1st year FO: $42,600
2nd year FO: $45,000
3rd year FO: $47,000
Upgrade to small captain
4th year capt: $88,000
5th year capt: $98,500
Upgrade to medium captain
6th year capt:$101,500

MAX CAPT: $212,000 + COLA

Numbers look VERY similar for years 1-6. How stable do you think Jetblue is? How about NetJets? Either way you dice it, NetJets will be a lot more stable. Take a look at the max capt pay. NetJet's is almost $100,000 a year higher.
When choosing an airline, pick the amount of money you will make over your ENTIRE career, not just the first few years!!

I would not go to JetBlue. But hey, if you go there isntead of NetJet's, you are leaving the good jobs for ME!
