I tried looking for posted positions but didn't not see anything there. I was thinking about just trying to contact them and tell them what I am trying to do, and hope they have something. I could see this going either way. One they appreciate the initiative and have something that could work out. Two they are very annoyed by it and never let me work there even if something official opens up.

I did this at RIC in '94. Made an appointment with the ramp manager. Showed up in khakis, button down, tie and polished shoes. Told him I'd take any job, for any hours, for any pay and in exchange he'll get the hardest working, most reliable employee he could imagine, and explained my goals. He hired me on the spot, but I could not start for another 6 weeks due to a hiring freeze at FedEx.

Good luck!
