JB gets time and a half over 70 hours and I'm just guessing here, but I'd bet most work over 70 hours and make quite a bit more than the numbers based on a 70 hr guarentee. It's similar at NJA with the OT, holiday pay, extended days, after midnights, and on the Excel/ XLS differences pay. You can't help but make more than your salary/ guarentee.
As far as attrition goes, I've moved up over 80 spots in 16 months, but that includes the 20 or so who went to NJI. We are getting lots of airplanes and upgrades have been slow so far this year, but that has to change before long. We did get up to about 67 percent captains fleet wide, but that has got to be getting lower and will have to start bringing more upgrades to fly the airplanes were are bringing in. I am guessing I'll upgrade at around 3 years with the company, but I got in shortly after hiring started going like crazy and I think it will be longer for those hired now- probably closer to 4 years. I love working here and I would suggest it to anyone who can live with the current domicile system and with 7 and 7.
As far as being a Class IV or V captain goes you will need to be here for probably at least 20 years to ever see a similar pay-scaled airplane, whatever we have on property and however the payscales work at that time. You better be OK flying small and mid size jets for most of your career if you come here.
