Any good thoughts on the two questions?
Your base is bid on and awarded based on your seniority in your class and which domiciles have a need for pilots. Your class seniority at Skywest is based on your social security number (Numerical order from low to high, last four digits). No training contract at Skywest.
Where are you hoping to get based? You wouldn't be the first ex-military guy to come here. Flew with a retired USAF Colonel recently, fascinating guy. Wished I could have listened to his tales for a few more days.
