As for ruining things for future military guys, I get it, but based upon my reading of the entire thread, there seems to be a never-ending revolving door among regional pilots. Guys going between regionals due to many reasons, etc., guys moving up to the majors, etc. It also appears, again based upon reading the threads, that the companies aren't that interested in fostering the team spirit that we enjoy in the military. It appears the companies care only about profit, and their give-a-crap factor for their employees appears to be pretty low. Not trying to insult the company or the industry, simply an observation based upon reading posts in here.
Trust me, we military guys would LOVE to sign on to one company and stay there for the long haul - we are all about loyalty. But my read of the industry is that that may be an unrealistic view of the airline world.
All of this is a pretty accurate view of the regionals. COS is one of the most junior bases on the RJ and should be possible within a few months if not right away.
