They're getting in the same boat as everyone else searching for people. New instructors are now required to sign a two year employment contract in exchange for a type rating (or a new type if you're teaching on something else). Once you no longer come in everyday and kiss the ring, you're dead to them.
I did defer one class and should get the JB phase two go/ng this week; and we should be fine floating for a bit but the spouse likes to see deposits in the checking account! I guess I'm just hoping there's no extended backlog to get a JB class date. Paperwork came back for regional gig in 2 weeks so no concern there. I'm just concerned if something in the interim would screw up employment records request? e.g. part time contract work, etc? Guess it's best to sit idle.
