If you fail the face to face at Delta, you might want to take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror.

That definitely sounds good on the surface, but it's not foolproof.
One of my very favorite captains to fly with at my current company was rejected at Delta. He's a great guy... Very personable, very sharp, excellent CRM, and so on. Just one of those guys that makes the whole crew happy, and 4 days become fun. I was really shocked when he told me he didn't make it through the Delta interview. Their loss, without a doubt.
