Maybe we have this "predatory lending/sky high interest" because of irresponsible people who refuse to pay back their loans? Just like insurance....if you are in a high risk category, your rates go up. We were all 18 once, and most of us did the responsible and moral thing. It took me an extra 2 years to finish college because I worked on the side, why should you get a free ride?
