An SOS should have happened long before the US Air pension grab. ALPA should have protected the CAL pilots jobs when they went on strike in 1983, and the EAL pilots jobs in 1989, when they stood up to Frank Lorenzo.
But, Frank Lorenzo was a Houston business man, and one of his good friends was (and still is) George Bush Sr.
