This time the DPA actually posted objective information, but may have missed the context. I am no CPA, so I do not know how the President's retirement compensation works ... but that's where the money went for the most part. It may be that it was paid out in a lump sum, or "earned" per some sort of schedule that resulted in a dump.

I think it is best to wait for an answer rather than responding emotionally. If there is abuse, then this is a terrible time for this news to break. We've got bigger fish to fry, especially if this was some sort of retirement funding which is just a quirk of timining.
