Ok in the wake of 911 I remember that pilots for some time were able to legally allowed to carry firearms to defend the flight deck. Its been awhile since I looked into it, from what I remember those that did were registered through some sort of federal air marshal program or something. Is this still in effect? If so is it extended to Regional airline pilots also?
