It seems despite LUAL's well-deserved, well-earned reputation as a union, that they have never really encountered a management that is not just anti-labor, but ignore-labor. These responses which continue to flow from the union seem to reflect a loss of words for a company that, pretty much with impunity, blows off it's legal contractual obligations. PBS, pay, FIFO, SC, vacation, hotels, transportation, crew rest curtains, meals, BAT, etc. Ignore, delay, explain, then get permission from the union to fail to comply with UPA, which they were going to do anyway, because what else are they going to do. There's a lot indignant dust in the after all these failures, but no action. I've said before that I wish them better luck than LCAL had, but it seems like déjà vu.
