Having done (probably) hundreds of new hire IOEs on the 737-200, I can tell you that every background brings its' own particular set of strengths and weaknesses. I am not even going to discuss them here, because it would surely start another furball. (I was military too FWIW, and not that it means anything). WHATEVER your background, it is just that... background. You are going to learn things the way Delta wants you to do them. Forget the Air Force, Navy, Marines, ASA, Comair, Skywest, WestJet, corporate, banner towing... whatever brought you here. Enjoy the transition.
