AA reserve question
Obviously we don't know what the joint contract will say but I'm assuming it will be very similar to what American currently has. Is it possible to sit reserve with the current AA contract in a city other than your domicile? At US Air the ability to bid for a long call reserve line makes this easy, but I don't see how this works under the current AA system. If scheduling decides the day before if you are long or short call, it looks like you would spend more time than not just sitting in domicile waiting for the phone to ring. I know there is no set report time, but some of us live a little farther out than reasonable by ground transpo. Can any AA guys currently on reserve shed some light?
