Laguna Beach is nice. I like the tree streets or the village near the high school. Newport Beach or La Jolla are great too, but more business.

Call me cheap, but I skip the realtors and use the internet to find rentals. The foregone commissions will buy you hundreds of dollars of negotiating power with your future landlord.
