ImagineAir doesn't have to choose one of those options, you do realize that? They could, in fact, like many other places, do both. And the one year commitment option = $30,000/12 months = $2,500/month - taxes/ss/etc AND your own personal health insurance since they provide nothing = approx. $1,600, maybe $1,700.
You certainly aren't taking home "way more" than that.
