Sarcasm aside, go where you can live in base. As someone who has commuted and lived in base, I can assure you that your life will suck commuting and will be much better living in base and driving to work.
Terrible advice DENpilot. I agree 100% with Capt Tony. A new 121 pilot should aim to make his stay at the regionals as short as possible, while making as much money as possible. Going somewhere with plenty of growth and/or attrition is a good strategy to help accomplish that. Compass, PSA and Mesa are excellent choices.
Guys hired at these regionals are highly likely to upgrade years before you while you're enjoying driving to work on 7th year FO pay. PSA's junior Capt next July has yet to be hired. It's simple math.
