The beer that launched Ballast Point.
Our original Pale Ale is a rich golden brew, crafted with aromatic German hops and rounded out with a blend of American and Munich malts. While it’s hopped like a lager, we ferment it like an ale to create a smooth, bright taste that has just a hint of fruit and spice. It’s extremely drinkable, like a Kolsch should be, yet complex, like a good craft beer demands.

San Diego is adding microbrews the way Fred & Leo added RJs to DAL!

OH yeah and for Timbo - You can also enjoy nice weather all year round - probably even better than Orlando.
I like the weather in San Diego, and the ocean is nice but the wind is really light most of the time, and it's just too crowded for my taste.

I hate crowds, and I hate standing in line, and sitting in traffic. That's why I live in a small town in central FL, I don't have to stand in line for anything, ever, even at Starbucks, or worry about finding a parking space, anywhere, ever. It's really quiet, and that's how I like it. Some days I'm the only boat on the lake.

I'm going to go ride my bike now, not much traffic trying kill me, all the knuckle heads are out at the racetrack today watching the 12 hour Sebring Le Mans race.

Later I'll go sailing with the dogs, and finish the day watching the sunset from the dock.

Ahhh... enjoying the peace and quiet....and the hops of course!

Cali is (was) nice, I was born in Sacramento, but it's just too crowded for me any more.

And Scambo, on the IPA thing, it's the only beer I can 'taste'. I think I fried my taste buds and burnt out my nose at Leopolds in Mumbai. Ever since eating all that Indian food (and Mexican here) I can't taste or smell anything but a really hoppy beer. Everything else just taste's like water to me.

I like a beer that punches me in the mouth, so I can feel it, as well as taste it.

Kind of like my women...
