I believe UPS decided the margins weren't worth it, to have to build up a postal sort and potentially have to hire, buy airplanes etc. while FedEx already had the infrastructure in place in IND. Maybe they even told the Postal Service there would be massive furloughs...Slowly but surely FedEx is evolving their cost structure like ours, as much as possible trucked and railed vs. flown.
