From: Douglas Aerospace post production Flight Test & Work Around Engineering bulletin dissembler

Can't wait for the next generation of Douglas Post Certification & Line Flying Test Pilots takes to the sky, to try to figure out basic airworthiness and system fixes while flying revenue passengers. Why engineer on the drawing board what can be worked around on the ramp by the operator with training via urgent bulletins and emergency airworthiness directives?

We've got the list of what needs fixing down to the wing, brakes, engine, ground spoilers, flight controls, hydraulics, avionics and electrical system(s). Maybe it would be easier to describe what does work,.... the cabin pressurization outflow valve seems to work and you can watch it's operation ... how much fun is that!

You will like the heading knob. It is the most awesome heading knob ever devised by man. It can't really be described on paper, but just trust me, it is awesome.

You'll like that knob, so when ATC gives you a runway change and the little man inside the FMC says "goodbye cruel world" and blows his little 8008 CPU brains out, one mash & a plea for a vector will have you sayin' and "Bob's your Uncle" while missing your turn and going straight to the front of the line for that controller to get out of his airspace.

Southwest, eat your 737.
