My buddy wanted to defer and they allowed him to defer only one time, to the very next class (which was less than 2 weeks later). You might be able to call and talk to someone in HR about your special circumstance.
I interviewed last week and this topic came up during a conversation with Andy Frey (he's the person who sends out class dates). He said that somebody can defer one time, but after that, it's take it or leave it. Since I'm probably looking at an Oct or later class date, but available beginning in June/July, I say DEFER!
