If this does happen, the only difference I see between XJT and Chautauqua is that the XJT pilots would NOT be reabsorbed somewhere at SkyWest like the Chautauqua pilots were at Republic and Shuttle. Do I have this correct?

Say what you want about Republic, but at least the Chautauqua pilots were placed elsewhere when RAH decided to shrink them.

Is there any saving grace for XJT at all here? Any rumors of Inc giving them bigger aircraft? Rumors of XJT pilots being reabsorbed in the SkyWest system? Anything to help the XJT pilots see a light at the end of the tunnel?
The short answer is no. XJT turned down their JCBA, there will be no good news until that is resolved. That's just how it works in the airline bargaining world. SkyWest approved their pay package making St George happy, they get the spoils. Good news is, anybody trying to grow right now or simply staff what they have is growing increasingly difficult as nobody can keep up with attrition.
