Because if you'll rationalize this course with only yourself in consideration now, you'll do it again at AA when you have to rationalize avoiding your next personal threat.
Agreed. You have indeed correctly identified your actions and we all can see that.
If it fails, you will just become another weak link in the chain at Eagle and will be ready, willing and able to break yourself upon the next unreasonable threat. You will be no asset to any pilot group unfortunate enough to acquire you in the future, so nothing personal, but I hope you become a millionaire in another profession.
Have you ever thought of switching to airline management ?
You've got all the right qualities.

Believe me, AA is the absolute last mainline I want to work for but beggars can't be choosers.
I don't vote for concessions, I am willing to vote for trades. I was a no vote on the bk deal because it was only a concession. I'd vote in the same pattern anywhere I worked. It's like someone offering to trade you an orange for an apple, if you like oranges better why not make the trade?
Flying will go back to mainline whether we vote this in or not. Economics do not support the current regional model anymore and it has absolutely nothing to do with how we vote. Do you honestly think pilot contracts influence business plans? We are a tiny part of a profit and loss statement.
AAG management will be forced to come back to that table in a few years to attract new hires if we vote this in. If we don't they'll just shift flying to a company like PSA over time and improve their contract to attract new hires. It's economics, that's how it works.
