QUOTE=captlonestar;1607283]Hey bzzt, I can't believe how short sighted the yes voters are. For them It's all about current comfort, over long term goals. I have 30+ years in this ****ty industry and you probably do too, but your willing to undercut your profession now when you have the opportunity to protect your future. I firmly believe that if we don't take these pay cuts that the majors will take back a majority of the flying. The best thing you could do for your "career" is to vote any cuts down. AAG doesn't need the cuts. They are making record profits. You are a fool if you vote yes.[/QUOTE]
You are telling Bzzt that he is short sighted? How about the short sight when ignoring what is currently going on at Eagle? We have skywest flying in DFW ORD and LAX add to this mess Republic likely flying out of MIA on the fall later on this year?
AAG isn't doing this to us because they are mean they do it because they are greedy and greed is a basic ingredient for capitalisim, they only care about profits.
Many NO voters think that they are standing for the industry and sadly enough were the same ones complaining about the pilots at XJET, SKW and Republic For stealing Eagle's flying. I actually don't blame any pilot that currently doesn't
fly with Eagle yet they fly airplanes with the livery of the original airline.
The companies bid the flying and we fly where they send us. It is how it works. AAG thinks that they can put the airplanes somewhere else and we think that they can not staff them. What it important is to understand that the company thinks that thay can and that is why the NO is a bigger gamble than the YES vote
The NO people tell us that we are fools, the reality is that we are all fools for picking these career. Many people got very lucky and made it OK at a regional but many people had been waiting to get something better for many many years.
To think that other pilot groups are just waiting to give us date of hire because we said No is living in denial. Pilots will do what is right for them and that is just a human instinct.
I'm happy we are all getting to vote and whatever happens we will come out of this together. Yes or No we should reespect each other. We all want to succeed, we are all share one common denominator we are fools for loving our job.
