I'd take narrow body F/O at Delta over foreign carrier 777 CA. I work for a great company and I'm a member of a great union. I'll admit I've got some concerns for Delta and Alpa in regards to an uneven playing field internationally; but I'm not going to be fired unless I do something criminal and my view is that liberty trumps money.
Their Capt pay isn't that far above Delta FO pay. I have 2 good friends who went to EK who are both Captains there now. We make about the same but they have the tax advantage which was easily offset by the fact that they are both now divorced with kids. Both went over happily married and that ended quickly.
